The Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference is the premier technical event for the Australian wine industry. Held every three years since 1970, it combines an extensive program of plenary sessions, workshops, posters, student forum and social events with the industry’s most respected and extensive trade exhibition.

This year the Conference is being held in Adelaide from 26th -29th June 2022, and here’s just a taste of what participants can expect:

Monday, 27 June at 4pm: Plenary session. Roadmap for a sustainable industry. Hosted by: Cath Oates, Chair of the Sustainability Advisory Committee and featuring a presentation from Dr Mardi Longbottom, Manager Sustainability and Viticulture, AWRI

Tuesday, 28 June at 8.30am: Paid workshop, $120. The social license problem. Hosted by Anna Hooper, Australian Grape & Wine.

Tuesday, 28 June at 10.15am: Paid workshop, $120: The 'S' word what does sustainability really mean to small, medium and large wine producers? Hosted by Dr Mardi Longbottom, AWRI

Wednesday, 29 June at 1.45pm: Plenary session. Looking to the Future. Hosted by Dr Mark Krstic, Managing Director, AWRI and Dr Martin Cole, CEO, Wine Australia

Following this session, as the Conference closes from 3.15pm, participants can join the Wine Style Tasting which will feature wines from certified members of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. You can find out more and register your attendance HERE.
