Fortem Enlists Two Reserves for New York Marathon

Fortem Australia has enlisted two reserve first responders to run with Team Fortem later this year in the New York Marathon.

Queensland Police Senior Sergeant Dan Wicks and NSW Police Senior Constable Tim Egan are both on standby in the event one of the four successful winners announced last month are unable to make it to New York.

With added corporate support, both first responders complete Fortem’s team of six in the world’s largest marathon on Sunday, 6th November 2022.

“We were really impressed with the stories of Tim and Dan and how both aligned with Fortem’s mission to support mental fitness and wellbeing of first responders and their families,” said John Bale, Fortem Australia Co-Founder and Managing Director.

“We are proud to have both men joining our original four runners, as they represent the brave men and women working in response agencies, law enforcement and national security across Australia.”
