Have Your Say: Regional Futures – Creative Development

Southern Tablelands Arts are seeking Expressions of Interest from creatives across all art forms who live, work or connect with our region to participate in the State-wide project, Regional Futures.

Selected artists will be commissioned to undertake a creative development of a new work that responds to the prompt ‘What does the future look like for the regions?’.

Regional Futures is an artist-led conversation focusing on the opportunities and challenges faced by regional communities. The ten-week program places artists at the centre of a dialogue exploring a future vision for the place where they live and create.

For Stage One, artists will undertake a self-directed creative development of a new work that responds to the prompt. The successful artists will also participate in a series of professional development sessions with industry leaders and other participating artists from across the state.

The selected artist/s will work with Southern Tablelands Arts, the Project Curator and collaborating partners to develop the work which will be presented in Western Sydney alongside a state-wide symposium in 2023.

The Expressions of Interest opened on Monday 7th March and will close on the 28th March 2022.
