New Home for Yass Showground Stadium

Over the coming weeks, work will begin to dismantle and relocate the sports stadium from Yass Showground to private property.

The stadium was placed at the showground in the 1980s. While the building is owned by Council, the land is owned by Yass Show Society.

The building no longer fits Yass Show Society’s future requirements for the site and subsequently, an agreement was reached for Council to remove the building after the 2022 Yass Show.

Council conducted an extensive expression of interest process in April and subsequently received an offer from a Yass Valley local to rehome the structure. The local has agreed to remove the structure
