Rural Australians for Refugees

What: Yass Rural Australians for Refugees will be having a panel discussion during refugee week. The panel will talk about the support provided by a group in Yass for Vietnamese refugees in the late 1970s. It is a very interesting chapter of our history that many don’t know about. The panel is made up of locals who were involved and members of the families that settled here, as well as Father Peter from St Augustine’s and moderated by Paul Bongiorno. There will be a Vietnamese choir and afternoon tea.
