Tilt Renewables (TR), the company responsible for the Rye Park Wind Farm, have advised that they are progressing construction of the access tracks to the northern and southern substation benches as well as civil works inside the three site entry points including hardstand and foundation construction.
The Australian Resource Development Group quarries are supplying gravel to cap the internal access tracks, compounds and laydowns.
The northern batch plant is delivering concrete for foundation pours. Two foundation pours are planned per week.
In terms of disruption to traffic, TR advise:
- Grassy Creek Road: Works continue with the Pudman Creek bridge upgrade progressing slowly due to the recent weather. Other works include the installation of roadside drainage with culverts and erosion protection and Grassy Creek causeway remediation. Reinstatement of landowner access points and repair works on the upgraded road section between the northern site access points also continue.
- Boorowa/Rye Park Road: Ongoing maintenance will continue.
- Dalton Road: Line marking is planned for Dalton Road South off the main project entry. Removal of windrowed material and driveway tie ins will continue. Maintenance works will continue on Dalton Road where heavy vehicles and high levels of wet weather have degraded the roadway.
- Cooks Hill Road: TR is working with Upper Lachlan Shire Council to finalise the design of the upgrade. The final design will address biodiversity and heritage constraints, whilst balancing road safety. TR is seeking to undertake works as soon as practicable, but in the meantime, the road will continue to be maintained.
- Yass St, Rye Park: Works along Yass St (Rye Park village) continues with Yass St driveway tie-ins.
The Outpost food van stationed at the Rye Park Recreation Ground is open selling coffee and food from 7am to 2pm. Trading days have changed - the van is now open Tuesday to Saturday (closed Monday and Sunday), so be sure to drop in and say hello to Peter.
