Get ready, get set for this year’s “Hilltops Off the Beaten Track Art & Culture Trail!”

This popular cultural event highlights arts and culture across the Hilltops region. It represents an opportunity to explore diverse talent across the region, and meet local creatives and groups.

The historic village of Rye Park is conducting a cavalcade of events for all the family on Saturday 11 March, 2023.

There will be food and craft stalls, a self-guided heritage trail, a garden tour, and more.

The art display and sale will take place at the Memorial Hall from 10 am - 3pm. Works from local artists, Cathy Pearsall, Kim Sinclair, and Sergy Balty will be on exhibition. There will also be two workshops available from 10am to 12.30pm:

  • Sketching with Cathy
  • Cyanotype Photography with Kim.

There will be ‘Music in the Park’ from 12.30pm to 6.30pm at the Showground, with the following local musicians:

  • Hovert Gonzales: international classical guitarist
  • Josie Laver: popular country singer
  • Lugh Ford: singer songwriter of Celtic style music
  • Get Fake: an up-and-coming jazz band.

Al Phemister, a well-known local sculptor, will hold a ‘Trash to Art’ workshop during the afternoon to entertain the young and young at heart.

Come for a drive, bring your chair or rug, and enjoy the country atmosphere.
