Have you ever experienced the anguish of having a family member or friend missing? It can be an extremely stressful and protracted situation, but the onset of DNA testing has the potential to help solve many longstanding missing persons cases.

Researchers at the University of Canberra are currently conducting a survey to explore public attitudes towards providing a DNA sample to police for the purpose of assisting police in missing persons investigations. The results will be used to promote effective reporting of public attitudes towards providing DNA samples in missing persons cases.

The researchers are inviting Australian citizens or permanent residents over the age of 18 years to participate. The survey takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
