Yass Valley 2022/23 Local Heritage Grant Program Awardees

At their meeting of 28th July 2022, Yass Valley Councillors awarded a total of $19,000 in funding under the 2022/23 Local Heritage Grant Program to the following projects:

• ‘Benochy’, Yass: $2,900 for repairs to the leaking roof to prevent further water damage to the building
• The Old Produce Store, Binalong: $3,000 for repointing, stitching and repairing cracked brickwork
• Capital Chemist Pharmacy, Yass: $3,000 for preparing and painting the outside of the building
• Bowning Hall: $750 for preparing and painting the supper room, kitchen and storeroom
• DJ’s Butcher, Yass: $3,000 for preparing and painting the top floor facia, gutter and downpipes
• Grazing (former Royal Hotel), Gundaroo: $3,000 for painting the roof and undertaking minor work to timber fascia boards, replacing missing flashing, repointing chimneys and securing loose sheets of iron
• Liberty Theatre, Yass: $3,350 for restoring the external sign.
