The Yass Valley SPIN (Supporting People In Need) Foundation is a sub Branch of the Lions Club of Yass, and this week the team have done a wonderful job in giving back to the community.

Through the hard work of the Foundation, members were able to donate four defibrillator machines to local Yass Valley Primary Schools that did not already have these vital, life-saving pieces of medical equipment.

Representatives of Mt Carmel School, Berinba Public School, Bowning Public School and Gundaroo Public School were delighted to receive the machines which will all be housed in their front offices.

A defibrillator is a vital piece of equipment used in medical emergencies. While the hope is that they will never have to be used, having them in place means should the need arise, lives are more likely to be saved.

The hard-working SPIN volunteers were all honoured to present these machines as part of their ongoing medical support to the local Yass Valley community.
